The App itself collects minimal information directly. Most data processing occurs on the Edchemy ERP platform, which is managed by your respective school. The App facilitates your interaction with the ERP platform.

Information you provide via the App:

• ERP Login Details: When you use the App, you will log in with the credentials provided by your school. These are processed and managed by the Edchemy ERP platform, not stored by the App.
• Files and Images: The App requires access to your device's file storage solely to enable you to upload documents or images (e.g., homework, profile pictures) to the school's Edchemy ERP portal. The App does not store these files or images on our servers.

Information collected automatically by the App:

• Notifications: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications to your device for school-related updates from the ERP. This requires a persistent registration ID for your device, which does not identify you personally to us.
• Usage Data: Our system may collect non-personal, technical information to analyze app usage and diagnose technical issues. This can include your device's IP address, device type, mobile operating system, and unique device identifiers.
• Cookies and Local Storage: The App uses the device's local storage and cookies to maintain your login session within the ERP's WebView. This prolongs your login session for a convenient user experience and avoids frequent re-authentication.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information for the following purposes:

• To provide the Service: To enable you to access the Edchemy ERP platform via a secure, prolonged session through the App's WebView interface.
• To enable file uploads: To facilitate the secure transfer of files and images from your device to the school's ERP portal.

• No Third-Party Sharing: We do not share any user data collected by the App with any third parties. All information is managed for and on behalf of the respective schools using the Edchemy ERP.
• Payment Gateways: The Edchemy ERP solution includes integrations with secure, third-party payment gateways for the collection of school fees. The App facilitates your access to these secure platforms. However, we do not collect or store your financial information. All payment-related data is subject to the privacy policies and security practices of the respective payment gateway and your school.
• Data Security: While we employ reasonable security measures to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain user data only for as long as your school has an active ERP subscription with us. Since we operate as a technology provider for the schools, the schools themselves determine the data retention and deletion policies for the specific content you create and upload. For any requests regarding the deletion of your personal data, you must contact your school administrator.

6. Children's Privacy

The Edchemy App is an educational ERP solution used by schools for students of all ages. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. Where applicable, we comply with regulations ensuring that any collection of personal information from children is done with the school and parent's explicit consent, as part of the school's use of our ERP service.

7. Your Control Over Your Information

You can manage the App's permissions at any time through your device's settings. To have your personal data deleted from the Edchemy ERP, you must contact your school administration. Uninstalling the App will stop new data collection but will not delete your data stored on the ERP platform.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and will be effective immediately. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
